Barking Stop Dogs from Barking

We work all over Sydney and have experience dealing specifically with helping your dog to stop barking

While barking is an important part of a dogs behaviour, it makes no sense to expect one’s canine companion to completely stop

barking….what you really want is a dog that barks when there is an intruder or some danger. Excessive barking can cause lots of

tension in any home. The owner and even the neighbours might find all the unnecessary barking unbearable, stressful, and

downright annoying. If you find yourself in this situation, you are hardly alone.

Common reasons for excessive barking:

Territorial: Protecting their territory as dogs are very territorial.

Fear: Dogs can be quite reactive.

Social interaction: Dogs are, by definition, social animals. When a dog is isolated for a long period of time, whether in your backyard or in your home, the dog can easily become sad or bored. It might bark to catch your attention so you can play with it or engage it.

Barking as a form of greeting: Jumping, licking, and lots of tail wagging complete the greeting ritual.

Drawing attention: Dogs can sometimes bark if they want to get your attention.

Compulsive barking and anxious dogs: Other compulsive actions include running along fencing in a predictable manner or running around in circles.

The Home Dog Training experts will help stop your dog’s excessive behaviours by asserting your role as a pack leader. Your dog is hardwired to recognize and follow hierarchies. Once you properly assert your role as your dog’s pack leader, your dog will follow your instructions.
